Yamaha FZ16 has wider tyres, which provides better riding comfort.. But the feedback is it doesn’t have much power than ordinary 150s (cuz of heavier tyres). I am receiving mixed feedback about mileage. Some are having 50-55km/l where else sum only gets 35km/l..

hey friends.. im new here at the forums… nways the thing is that im going to buy fz 16 next month… so i jus wanna ask what is the actual top speed of fz 16.. frankly i like to be a speedy roadster on the streets as well as on long roads(not highways)… i don’t have any doubts abt fz’s acceleration.. but all the i knw is what is its pure top speed.. the company claims it 132kmph but i wanna knw from fz 16’s users… coz the thing is ma friend got pulsar 150cc 2008 model… he ride it on 127kmph(bike was not goin above that) on noida road.. so can fz 16 beat this 127kmph of top speed or not?? coz he’s the only challenge for me among ma friends… though i have seen a fz 16 goin 121kmph in a video on youtube but then also i wanna ask this questions from the user of fz..so plzzzz guys help me in this regard as soon as possible coz if ur answer go opposite from what im expecting.. then i have to go for k & n performance kit for fz in order to increase its top speed & all if it can’t able to beat 127kmph range.. ma problem is i can’t take a bike more expensive than fz..& i don’t wanna take common lookin bikes also… sooo plzzz help me out.. so that i ensure that i don’t have to start collecting sm money for k & n performance kit..:(

dunno abt the top speed. FZ is havin a power of 14 BHP @ 7500 rpm. Only HUNK is havin a bit more power than FZ (14.4 bhp). All other 150s are havin only abt 13-14 range bhp .. But I ‘ve also heard FZ wont give the output of normal 150’s, cuz of wider tyres. Anyway FZ is a gud byk. It wont make you unhappy. You will hav a smooth ride on it..
Now gettin the top speed of a bike also depends on when you shift your gear. A perfect shift gives you better acceleration and top speed.
Wishin you all d best to take ur beast to 130 km/h without K&N filters. DRIVE SAFELY ..

who said FZ16 wont give the output of normal 150’s.
it has the best pulling and pickup in the 150 cc segment.
the only drawback is it gives mielage only around 40 or 45 which other 150 cc will give around 50 or more.
140mm tyre is a tubeless and a radial one so it should not have that much of weight so it does not affect the pickup.
Because of its 13.6nm torque(which other 150cc bikes only offer around 12nm)fz16 has the better pickup.

hi guneet fz16 s a real guys bike it has a power of touchin 130 around i have gone 128 in fz man…… it goes on gut i don hav road to ride more man……….

i am driving my red colour of fz from long time excep comfort and confident i get from this bike other thing is useless . There is no mileage only 30 i get and the pick up i get is not good in comparison to other bike .

this macho looks yamaha is gets its throttle speed vary slowly . You can say even you accelerlates your bike in maximum but your speed of bike does not increasees according to that . When you drives in the city you always have to drive in low gear.

guys today i have ridden my fz16 bike in the mountain to test its power . In mountain hillary road if i put my full throttle in fifth gear than it was capable to give 45 speed in 4th gear it can give 60 speed but in plane highway it can accelerates 110

guys as my journey was in true hilly mountain side highway what i could find is its throttle is not much powerful in mountain other bike could easily overtake me my fz16 feel liked to crying cause my accelestation throttle was in full nonde then also

he m a guy earning only 8k a month, but ma passion of bykes is so to the peak that i cant stop buyin a yamaha fazer. so cn ny1 help me kno d exact price n milage it gives. My decision is totally depent on ur expert comments. Plz do help me gyus o else suggest me a better 150 section bykes….

i own a fzs .i am very happy to by such a bike because it gives mileage more 45kmpl…where i have gone at top speed of 126kmph in my bike but did not stop decreasing its speed its keep on increasing but i did not have proper road to touch its maximum speed 132kmph…i was not lucky at that time….
comparing to other bike fz16 or fzs leads…

I own a FZS and recently put a K&N filter in the bike i felt a lot of difference in the bike the pick up was amazing at first i had a problem with filter but then got it get fixed i have not yet checked on the mileage on the bike but don’t really care too…The max speed i touched was 128kmph.And now i found out that we can mount a rear disc on the bike.

I installed the K&N filter in my FZ. After installation I washed my bike and when i tired to start it, the bike was dead. It was not starting. Later on I opened the seat cover to see any problem with the new air filter. It was sad to see that water entered through the opening of seat cover and drained the filter. since my filter was installed below the seat cover inside a open black box it was flooded with water. Finally I used a piece of cloth and wiped out the whole water and my bike became alive. Is there any solution for this or any problem with the air filter when it gets wet.
