we cannot view hidden folders sometimes..evenafter unchecking the tab “tools-folder option-show hidden files….virus is behind this problem……
1) start-run- type “regedit” then follow these step
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\Folder\Hidden\SHOWALL
4. On the right pane, delete the value with
· Name: CheckedValue
· Type: REG_SZ
· Data: 2
5. Create a new DWORD. Right-click on the right pane > New >DWORD Value
6. Value should be:
· Name: CheckedValue
· Type: REG_DWORD
· Data: 1
OK,
You should now be able to modify Show Hidden Files and Folders settings.

can u just post hw to remove the virus tat reset register and make the hide file option inactive

huelar.exe virus
creates the hidden files and folders in your flash drive. Even if the “Show hidden files and folders” is checked in Folder Options, these files are still hidden.
Once a computer is infected:
The worm spreads very fast through the local area network (LAN) and sends Autorun.inf in every computer connected to the network.
run updated…antivirus…avast is d better one….
