Association of the DEPARTMENT OF BIOTECHNOLGY AND BIOCHEMICAL ENGINEERING,BUDS proudly presents BIOSOL- the BioExpo being organised under ASTRAL 2K11.

As we all know SREE BUDDHA COLLGE OF ENGG is one of the few premier institution offering the Biotechnology and Biochemical course and for the first time the students are organising an expo showcasing the recent advancements in this field. ‘BIOSOL- The Biotech Side Of Life’, is to give everyone an opportunity to know what biotechnology is really about.
The event is scheduled on 25th march 2011 in the premises of the college.

We invite everyone to this event and make it a grand success…

Charlie Chaplin’s famous movie ‘The Kid’(1921), was shown on 16th Feb 2011 at our college by the Movie Club of SBCE. The movie created waves in the hearts of viewers. The movie club has been organizing shows of Documentaries and Classical Movies from all around the world. The club had already brought us CJ7 (Stephen Chow), Nacho Libre (Jared Hess), Home – Documentary (Yann Arthus Bertrad), Bicycle Thief (De Sicca) and Children of Heaven (Majid Majidi).

‘The Kid’ got very good response. The audience cheered with a big hand of applauds.

Inter College Photography & Movie Making Contest!!!

NSS unit of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering is conducting an inter college photography and movie making contest as a tribute to Lukes Joy who departed from this world on 18th april 2009.Lukes Joy had always been a dedicated NSS volunteer was an extremely talented photographer.In fond of  memory of  Luke,NSS unit of the college has decided to conduct an ever – rolling photography contest on 26/02/2011 at AmalJyothi College of Engineering,Kanjirapally at 10 am.There for we are inviting each and every one to participate in this competition and make this event a grand success.

SPICMACAY chapter of  SBCE organized  Purulia Chhau Dance on 10th February 2011.

SPICMACAY stands for ‘Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music And Culture Amongst Youth’. The soceity promotes awareness of  rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry of our country amongst the youth through focus on the classical arts, with their attendant legends, rituals, mythology and philosophy and to facilitate an awareness of their deeper and subtler values. ‘Purulia Chhau’ is the third event conducted by the SPICMACAY chapter of  SBCE.

The joint news letter of SBCE and SBCEW ‘Bodhi Vol1 No2′  (June 2010 – December 2010) released on 2nd February by Prof.K Sasikumar (Chairman,SBCE) by handing over the first copy to Dr. Somi Sebastian (Principal, SBCE).
