An Alumni meeting of 2006, 2007 & 2008 passed out batches is scheduled on 10th September 2008 at 10.00 a.m. at the college auditorium. All are invited. Official invitation will be sent soon!

Inauguration of  Mechanical,Electrical and Civil blocks were conducted on 19th August 2008,tuesday. The chief guest of the day was Sri.G.Sudhakaran, (Honorable Minister of co-operation and devaswom board). We were equally honored by the presence of Smt.C.S Sujatha(M.P).The meeting was presided over by Prof.K.Sasikumar(Chairman, SBCE).The other dignitaries were Smt.M.G.Leelamani(WardMember), Dr.K.V.Purushothaman(Principal,SBCE), Prof.V.Prasad(Secretary, SBCE), Sri.Shyam Prasad(Joint Secretary, SBCE),Sri K.K Sivadasan(Treasurer, SBCE), Sri. Sujith John(Student representative) and the members of Executive committee.

The meeting started with a prayer by college choir.The welcome speech was given by Prof.V.Prasad.

Independence, a word that will bring all Indians to smile. A word which makes us remember the past, where we came from, freedom struggle for more than a 100yrs, our great leaders. But do we know what independence is all about? Do we utilize it to our maximum efficiently? Or are we really independent?

We really don’t know what really independence is as we were born independent so we don’t understand its value. We would b knowing the meaning of independence from our civics class and history class tat our constitution guarantees us some freedom like freedom of speech, to move around etc. but are we really independent? No I would say. We are not free of the clutches of regionalism, communalism, and castes. We are not free from the political game, globalism that squeezes out in a way.

Microsoft Launching  their new  venture ” Sphere Computers ” after  their  “SurfaceTop“….Sphere computers will  be launched comercially in  our  market on  the  end  of 2009 or  near january 2010 with their next generation OS “ WINDOWS Se7en “. Windows Se7en  is formerly code named as  ”Blackcomb” and later “Vienna” .Microsoft is maintaining a policy of silence concerning discussion of plans and aspirations for Windows 7 as it is on the focus of  the  whole world.A little is known about the feature set, though public presentations from company officials have disseminated information about some features.

I am glad that an official campus blog is started for Sree Buddha College of Engineering. The dedication and hardwork of a group of students and staff who created this is greatly appreciated. I am sure that this will help the members of SBCE family to get closer in cyberspace.
