2nd Series exams scheduled from 2nd Sept. 2011 to 6th Sept. 2011 is postponed. New date will be announced later. 3rd Sept. 2011, saturday will be a working day for the college with wednesday’s timetable.

Onam celebrations will happen as per schedule on 7th Sept. 2011.

The applications for scrutiny and revaluation of answer scripts should reach the University office on or before 29.09.2011.  You can download copies of the mark list from the University website.

The second series exams are scheduled on 2, 5 and 6 September, 2011. Onam celebrations will take place on 7 September, 2011. The college will be closed on the same day and reopen on 19 September, 2011.

Association of Computer Science & Engg., Cyborgs, organised a technical talk on Arduino. Mr.Kenney Jacob, Co-Founder Mobme, delivered the talk in the department seminar hall on 26th August 2011.

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

The talk was organised for the final year CS students who are about to start their course project. The session was followed by demonstration of small projects based on Arduino.

MOMENT(Majestic Organisation of Mechanical Engineering Technocrats ) association of  Mechanical Engg. of SBC inaugurated their events for this year on 23 rd August 2011.

The department of Electronics & Communication conducted the inauguration of the current academic year activities of ETA(2011-’12) and the release of dept magazine, “Destino” on August 5,2011(Friday). Dr. B. Premlet(Dept. of Physics,TKM College of Engineering, Kollam) was the chief guest. Principal Dr. Somi Sebastian, Head of the Dept. Ms. R. Ramya, ETAcoordinator Mr. Jayaraj.V.S(Asst. Professor)  were present in the function. ‘Destino’ was handed over by Principal to the Chief guest. Also, a technical talk on the subject, “Role of EC Engineers to make Power grid smart” by Premlet sir followed the function. The program was resumed by the curtain raiser(Video promo release) of EC Dept fest, TAKSHATI 2K12.

SBC registered two consecutive wins in the Kerala University intercollegiate football tournament held in TKM College of Engg, Kollam.

In the 1st match SBC defeated Fathima Matha National College, Kollam 2 – 0. Rajkumar of EC5 and Suraj of BT5 scored for SBC.

In the 2nd match held on 23rd August 2011 SBC thrashed DB College, Sasthamcotta 2 – 0. Unni of ME5 scored the 1st goal and Suraj of BT5 scored the 2nd goal and increased his goal tally to 2 in two matches.

Today SBC face the hosts TKM College of Engineering.

SBCians all set for the Infosys campus placement(2012 passouts) on October 14, 2011.

A new Internet Computing Centre with fully networked 60 desktop Computers and supported by 4.0 Mbps Internet facility has been opened to the students by the Chairman of the college Prof. K.Sasikumar on 20th August 2011 at 10.30 a.m.

Secretary of Sree Buddha Educational Society(SBES) Prof.V.Prasad, Treasurer(SBES) Mr.K.K.Sivadasan, Head of Dept. of Computer Science & Engg. Mr.Anil A.R. other staffs and students blessed the occasion by their presence.

A new Internet Centre with fully networked 60 desktops and supported by 4.0 Mbps Internet facility will start functioning from today(20th of August 2011). The inauguration is scheduled at 10 a.m. All are invited for this auspicious occasion.

This fully air conditioned centre is located in the 2^nd floor of the Central Library Complex. The Centre will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on all working days.

Central Library Complex
