” One should always dream bigger”. This is not a proverb from a great person ,I would have surely liked to write great proverbs written by great persons, but I could never remember these things. This is only one of problems among the list that I think keeps me away from the group of people whom i always see participating in various quiz competitions.
Yes ,but I’m a great spectator . And have always imagined how could these people remember all these dates and names. As far as I think, just by knowing on which date, what happened and who did it isn’t going to be of any use ,except for winning a lot of prizes, and for sure you’ll get a lot of fame also.
I am an average student of Electronics & Communication department( 2005) batch. I even got two supplementaries during my Third semester, which eventually became a turning point in my life.
Getting a placement ,while you’re doing your B.Tech course has always excited me. It was my dream to get a good placement before I passout, as this would secure my future. I strongly believe that nothing is impossible and anything ,”I mean everything can be achieved with concrete determination, confidence , optimism ,and with a little help from experience”. By the time our turn came to attend the placement drives during Sixth Semester, we were really excited about that. And for good, i cleared all my lagging papers that time. This made me eligible for attending all the placement drives.
My preperation for the drive included some objective question solving , a lot of newspaper reading and I think the most important part was a three day praogramme organised in our college . This made me aware of the type of questions that are asked in the Objective test conducted during the placement drive.
The drive that I attended was that of “IBS” .I attended the objective test, which I was not able to pass. But I gained a lot of experience from this, I became so confident that i would be able to pass the next test for sure. And there it was,we were told that were gonna have placement drive of “Infosys” in SNGCE ,Eranakulam.
Wow man, this was a golden opprtunity. One of my friends sister was working there, and he actually showed me the pictures of the infosys campus. I was really excited, and was looking forward to fix my seat in Infosys. We left for the venue at 3:30 am in the morning . It was a long journey and we enjoyed every bit of it. We reached the campus at about 8:30 am. It was a big and good looking college. The first place that we visited was the campus toilet, so that we could relax a bit, Ofcourse there is no more better place to relax
.
Then we went to the college canteen and had our breakfast. The food was a little costly ,so we were happy to have only two chappatis, which was even thinner than a chartpaper. And this light food helped me later on. As a little bit hunger always keep you awake, and aware. Then we visited the respective classrooms where we had to attend the test. The staff of the campus was very helpful. Then we were given the paper, and this time “i tried my best”.After this we had to wait for about 2 or 3 hours for the results. During this time the host college student organised few activities like ramp walking, singing. After all this enjoyment,we actually forgot about the results, but not for a long time ,as the time arrived. The staff of infy started to announce the name of the succesful candidates. I don’t but I was not worried at all this time.Hardwork always pays, and i was among the succesful candidates. I was very excited on being selected. Now it was time for the hot seat,I had to face the interview.
I am a game freak. I correlated this situation with that I usually come across while playing .And this helped me a lot ,and i was determined to perform my best during the interview. I was really nervous when i reached the room where all the selected candidates had to wait. I had a printing mistake in my resume that acted as fuel in the fire. But i tried to keep myself cool , and wow i think the fuel were getting really cheaper as I was not called untill the hall in which we were waiting became a hall were only i was waiting for my chance.
But i Knew….. Mera no: ayega
and… here it comes!! The interviewer himself called me in. he asked me to tell something about my college. i was prepepared with the answer, but at that time what I was telling was totally different. He was very excited when he came to Know about my gaming skills. He even asked some question about games like ‘counter strike’. It ended well, and I was asked to wait in another room, where everyone else were waiting, where it was said that I’m selected.
It was like a dream through which a lot of hardwork became reality. My friends, parents, other family members, our teachers ,everyone were very happy . And I really feel “proud ,as i was able to make so many people happy, who have always helped me throughout my career.
I really need to say thanks 2 GOD,MY Parents ,teachers and friends…….
