Hi friends.
We all know that the MLA’s and MP’s in INDIA has fund which amounts to lakhs each year which is rarely used fully, even if used, they are rarely used for something useful. the funds are granted for the regional developments but our legislators and parliamentarians use it mostly to fill their pocket or to make some small stuff and write their names in huge letters, for publicity.
This particular picture has been taken by me near the KAYAMKULAM railway station. this poor ambulance was donated by the the exMP and present KPCC president RAMESH CHENNITALA. I am not sure which year this has been bought but from the model of the vehicle and registration its sure its around 2000-2001. I am seeing this poor fellow parked in this pathetic condition near a workshop near kayamkulam railway station for the last 4 years (I am seeing this on every monday morning when i come by train since i joined this college). I dont know what happend to this ambuance. Any way around 10 lakhs of the TAX payer’s money is lieing on the street in the rain and sun for atleast 4 years. i dnt know how many more years will this has to stay till it get a treatment. As per now the ambulance need an ambulance!!

seems pathetic…..this ambulance need an ambulance lolzzz!!!.When will our government realize this kind of issues really happening in our public…..actually how much of money we r simply wasting!!!! we have to find more and we should bring this type of issues in front of our society and get noticed to the authorities!!!!
December 21st, 2008 @10:17 am
This is something that you noticed. If you go to government offices, then you will see lots of equipments unused and rusting.
December 21st, 2008 @10:32 am
Good initiative Krishnaraj…nice article! Of course we fail to fully utilize the govt. funds! I think the ‘poor ambulance’ is a victim of bad politics we have…..authorities ignore the developments done by other political parties when they come into power(whether it is right or left).
December 21st, 2008 @10:37 am
thats true many of the government equipments are taking rest in our road side. i think a citizen journalism will b a good thing to start in our blogs

nice post krihsna….
hpe more nd more posts like this will come in vosree…
but i wont blame the politicians alone for this pathetic condition..nowadays we youth are considering these politicians as some ppl to be blamed for all bad things in this country.actually every citizen is responsible for this.especially the bureaucracy..actually that ambulance was the product of a nice initiative form one of gud politician.and we ppl are not doing our duty to use that efficiently..atleast sme ppl frm kayamkulam culd give sme pettitions to the authorities,,,atleast inform mr.ramesh chenithala himself…lets us try to do that through vosree…let us give the link of this article to ppl we know and try 2 reach this article to the authorities…
December 21st, 2008 @11:20 pm
thats true. but think y v blame politians??.
bcos they are the one v elected to rule us,
v elected hoping that the will do things to ensurs our prospirity, security and sevelopment.
if our political class is efficient they can control the burocracy. they can set examples t the citezens. thats wat the true leader must do. thats wat v expect out of poltical class.
keep away coruption it cant b washed off. but what all things they do plz do it correct and ensure that is done coeerct.
can v hv a debate on this frinds here
December 21st, 2008 @11:28 pm

December 21st, 2008 @11:38 pm
@sujith bt how?
v can go to muncipal office and shw this, or can some hw find ramesh chennitala and tell this, what more? nothing will happen. i can tell the possible replies v get
muncipal office:”thats not our departments problem. its ______ department”
_____ department :”its not in our custody ask health department or red cross”
red cross/health: “v dnt hv FUND. MP dnt gv us money to maintain it.”
at last ramesh channitala: “its pathetic. i am nt MP nw still i will ask the departments to take care of it, else i will repair it on mu own account”/ or “hoooo i dnt kw tat. i will rock the assembly with this and will conduct a darna. 2mrw hartal in kayamkulam”

December 21st, 2008 @11:47 pm
@sujith no man
this is a common mans experince
this is what 80% of indian had experinced for the last 60 years of so called democratic india. nw also is going on. i told this with what i hv seen in my life, what i hv heard from rest of my brothers and sisters
December 21st, 2008 @11:48 pm
nd u all shuld c onething….
this is a redcross ambulence…redcross is not a government orgnization….
December 21st, 2008 @11:53 pm
I join with sujith chettan
its not only the responsibility of politicians alone, bt also of the citizens, especially the youngsters…
I am still in a doubt” Don’t we have any law n orders here”. Krishna told us that it has been there for the past 4 years and its interesting to see that no one has turned up, especially d police…
And, well , really, We cannot blame the politicians, coz we elected them. And we all know none of them havnt done anything as they said before their elections… But its a rare case that Ramesh Chennithala donated an ambulance…
He should have given some extra money for the maintenance of the ambulance, otherwise this would b the after effect…
I blame the hospital n muncipal authorities of Kayamkulam for make a good condition ambulance a crap.. Y didn’t they sel that? Or that ambulance got in to some accident cases n some one has ordered “don’t use the ambulance till the court say this or that” ??? There r many possibilities..
Cant really reach at a precise conclusion….hmmmm
December 21st, 2008 @11:54 pm
@ sujith
yup I have sent it to Patanamthita IAS officer Mr. Sanal Kumar IAS
December 22nd, 2008 @12:00 am
@ sujith
its red cross ambulance agreed. but it was bought frm the tax payers pocket. and c one more thing its a tradition to gv amount to maintain the ambulance by the person who donates it. more over it may b run by red cross but it wil b attached to the govt hospital. this is nt just the case of a ambulance. c the road side when u travel u will c hundreds of such things, buildings, tractors, road rollers and so onn……
December 22nd, 2008 @12:06 am
@karthik gr8 man…i gave the link to newly elected NSU prez hibi…
lets hpe smethin gud..
December 22nd, 2008 @12:08 am
@ vishnu
if it had an acciden it shud b in police station. this is near a workshop. u can c gras and even tress are growing around it. then its the duty of munsipal authority, hospitals or whom ever. munsiality is ruled by politicians. if they r effecient they make the burocracy work. that wat it shud happen. then i told its near railway station. hw many vip’s b it politians , IAS r IPS officers has passed through, no on no one reacted. ot even Ramesh Channitala himself might hv passed through tat place. whos ever carelessness may b tat, its the taxpayers money, its our money tas in the rain and sun atleast for the last 4 years
December 22nd, 2008 @12:16 am
Accountability is what we lack. All these negligence issues happen cos of lack of accountability. If someone were to be fined for this, then this would not have happened.
December 22nd, 2008 @12:20 am
yup Krishnaraj is ryt…many VIP’s myt have passed thru der…but still nobody reacted to it..
Anyway lets hope sumthin gud thru this….vosree wud b proud wid it and more over thru dat lets hope it cud save many lyf
December 22nd, 2008 @12:25 am

December 22nd, 2008 @12:44 am
well when sujith posted me the link and asked to comment i wondered what the topic would be.and found what was being discussed interesting.
introducing again me jose,CET i read your blog quite often and i made a post once.i think that was naming the story.now i am back for the ambulance parked outside a workshop instead of a hospital.
what i find interesting about the ambulance is not the politics behind it.it is that this is a landmark in KAYAMKULAM.i noticed it all the three times i visited your college.well i had a specific reason to remember this particular vehicle,one is the writing RAMESH CHENNITHALA and the other one i used it as urinal all the three times.probably many others did too.that is the joke of it
now for the stuff that matters.let me tell you public property everywhere in the country or may be even the world is in this pathetic condition.it is not the fault of anyone it is just the way things are.oke let me ask u.u have a waste basket in your bed room how may of u use it may be none by will but to satisfy mom may be u do it for the sake of it.now lat me ask u how many use the bin on the road this i can easily say none.none out of will and none out of pressure and worse none to pressure you to do so.thats the case.the ambulance may have met with some minor trouble and was admitted to the workshop,and was never checked again.may be there was another ambulance or may be more so they did not may be miss this one.posting the problem to IAS officers and politicians wont much work coz the condition of the vehicle has deteriorated too much it cant be used as ambulance anymore.they person to contact would be a person who sells scrap metal(aakri kachavadam).and pray for the soul to rest in peace.or may be dont even do that put a board public urinal.
December 22nd, 2008 @2:27 am
Kris,
You have written something very commendable. People need to express their opinion on hot issues like this.
THe main problem with our administration is that they never plan ahead . They buy very expensive stuff but do not allocate money for its maintainence
Keep up the good work
GOpa

@jose
i partilt agree with u jose. is our way of life to avoid things that are not very important. here u said the public properties all over the world is in this condition. i can never agree with this. v can take public urinals. india is one of the few countries that dosnt hv public toilets(v hv a very big one,the railway tracks for indians). may b v indians are the only people who piss so openly or do 2 so openly(the westerners use atleat a toilet paper). in many countries i hv heard their public toilets are well maintained and v wnt feel to get out of that.(india v dnt fell to get in, if v accidently got in v just want to get out) this is happens bcos of v indians are born with it and live with it.
i just want to say that the political class has to set example. say for example if the government is very strict about maintainig public sanitations, naturally burocracy wil awake and the public toilets (an example)will be maintained and good to use. in such a condition arise the people who use them also get aware. they also will feel to keep that goodness and a good maintance of public propeties. tats wat v want. the politians has to set examples.
December 22nd, 2008 @9:46 am
ha..only a revolution is goin to change india…something big and huge shud happen..only then the whole system can get washed…but who will take the first step…???we people dont have the fire in us to fight bak…politicians can make juice out of us…make a joke ou of ou lives..still we tolerate…we really hav one bigg heart…
SUJITH was sayin politicians are not to be completely blamed…
well..its the politician’s responsibility to make a citizen to move in the right direction…look at our kerala for example…are we not surprised to see a lot of youngsters simply wasting their time with politics and dirty political activities…?the cure for these problems shud begin from the root…i really hope i cud live to see al this to happen…
peace..
December 22nd, 2008 @10:05 am
ha ha…u all keep fighting….see the poor ambulance is still lying there without anyone to care…and i hope it will lie there for ever….the number of comments will increase…but there will be no change in the position of that poor ambulance…its our kerala…as mentioned before ..dogs own country..no change is gona happen..wai t and see….!![:)]
December 22nd, 2008 @10:05 am

dear u r ri8 politics plays, relay bad. a revalution it should b started by us. indian youth is the largest if v say v cant make things happen then who on earth can? v need a movement of our own. neednt b political, like the arya samaj, hindu samaj, and so on. v had those in the past during freedom strugle. its high time for us to make such a youth movment else its no use being an indai.
December 22nd, 2008 @10:13 am
@kailas and krishna..
u ppl saying youth wasting time in politics….this mentality shuld change…many educated youth are not coming to politics due to these fact..u want change and u are not ready to work for it..its not gud…revolution shuld come within us..
arya samaj nd hindusamaj are for social reformation not for ruling
krishnaraj sayin we need a youth movement and you are not ready to waste ur tym in politics…contradicting facts
December 22nd, 2008 @10:16 am
@ roshini
ha ha
but debates like these shuld happen between us…keeping our political feelings with in us is nt gud……
@jose
oh!!!then ppl are using the ambulence as toilet…really pathetic then….
this is wat i said…dont blame politicians alone for ths..this is an example for irresponsible citizens here….
and another thing for authorities..we need to have a gud public toilet outside kayamkulam railway station…[;)]
December 22nd, 2008 @10:17 am
@roshani
dear sis
if ours is a dogs own country its up t us to make it gods own country or atleast humans own country. bcos its v who live here and v r nt dogs.
v debate here and v r inviting our frinds to join us. so v r increasing our view and maikng it a public opinion. same time v r trying to get to people in power like IAS officer SANAL KUMAR and who ever v can get. v r also trying to get to media. v hv already gt in touch with kayamkulam muncipalty. so hope v succeed in something. or atleast v can make an impact or even a spark in some one mind that will do.
