ESPNsoccernet is one in a large stable of sports widgets powered by Plusmo, now a part of AT&T interactive. The widget is a powerful tool that pulls in team and region news coverage, live game visualization, match commentary, team tracking, detailed fixtures, tables, and more. You get not only ESPN’s latest tournament coverage and stories, but also Premiere league and other soccer stories depending upon your choice of team settings.

I tried the app on my Nokia E63. The first step was setting the language, where I had my choice of English, Spanish, French, Italian, and German.

Then, I picked a region of interest from choices that included the five language countries, plus Scotland, the USA, Europe in general, and a global option. I chose England for demo purposes. If I had switched to Europe, I would have also had access to UEFA and Super Cup stories.

With England as a selection, I had a choice of Premiere League and FA Cup stories. I chose the FA Cup, and it then displayed the most recently played match.

Selection of a region determines which sets of stories will be chosen by the ESPN soccernet RSS news feed mechanism.

The icon list on the right-hand side includes my favorite teams (the star icon), schedules of selected teams (the calendar icon), articles about the teams (the newspage icon), and a change settings icon (the three dots). I clicked on the news page icon to see the list of stories, shown below.

Click on the newspage icon to have the RSS feed pull up the current stories about your team(s).

Clicking on any headline brings up the details of that story for perusing. S60 5th edition devices allow touch scrolling, while S60 3rd Edition devices use the rocker key for scrolling.

The full article can be viewed by scrolling, and related articles can be selected and accessed.

At any time, I could also switch my settings to another region or team just by clicking on the three-dot icon. I found that it was better to specify my teams very narrowly in order to sip from the fountain rather than the powerful firehose of all ESPNsoccernet coverage.

Orkut , this free-access social networking service is loved by all of us and virtually many we know live in it . Orkut is unique, because it’s an organically growing network of trusted friends. That way we won’t grow too large, too quickly and everyone will have at least one person to vouch for them. But its sad that some find fun in hacking this world of ours for personal and non-personal reasons [:-( ] , they may range from people we know to strangers far across the globe ,but my friends do u know that along with our orkut ID you may end up loosing your email account and many valuable informations regarding you ? .Well, if you don’t , believe it –its for real. Let me help the friends among us who needs a help in protecting their account and orkut freely and safley as it should be  .

It can be a nightmare if someone else takes control of your Google Account because all your Google services like Gmail,orkut, Google Calendar, Blogger, adsense, Google Docs and even Google Checkout are tied to the same account.Let me make you aware of some of the possible threats in which you can get hacked .

1.Phishing Attack is the most popular way of stealing other’s password. Popular by the name of fake login (among those who knows it!!) the users land on a page where they are asked for their login information and they enter their username and password thinking it to be a real page but actually it is other way round. It submits all the details entered to the programmer or the coder.

2.Community Links: Many times you are provided with a link to a community in a scrap. Read the link carefully, It may be something like http://www.orkut.com/Community.aspx?cmm=… “OKRUT not ORKUT”. Clicking on this link will take you to a fake login page and there you loose up your password.

3.Orkut New Features: I have come across a page that looks like they are giving the user a choice of selecting new features for orkut with your ID and password, of course!! When user submit the page, there goes his ID and password mailed to the coder.

4.Java script: You must have seen the circulating scraps that asks you to paste this code in your address bar and see what happens! Well sometimes they also leak out your information. Check the code and if you are unsure of what to do, then I recommend not to use it.

5.Primary mail address: If by some means a hacker came to know password of your Yahoo mail or Gmail, which users normally keeps as their primary mail address in their Orkut account, then hacker can hack Orkut account by simply using USER ID and clicking on ‘forget password’.This way Google will send link to the already hacked primary email id to change the password of the Orkut account. Hence the email hacker will change your Orkut account’s password. Hence your Orkut account hacked too.So a better thing would be to keep a very unknown or useless email id of yours as primary email id so that if the hacker clicks on ‘Forgot password’ the password changing link goes to an unknown email id i.e. not known to the hacker

Frineds it would be my atmost pleasure if I could help you guys\gals in keeping our orkut as safe as it could ever been.So please kindly lend your attention to the few steps that you can follow for this  ^_^  :

1. Never try to login/access your Orkut account from sites other than Orkut.com.

2. Never click on any links from the sources you don’t trust while accessing your Orkut account.(or while accessing any other Google services like Gmail,Blogger etc.)

3. Delete any links on your scrapbook, no matter if a known or unknown person have sent it.

4. Never disclose your orkut login details with anyone.

5. Never ever use Javascripts on Orkut, no matter whatever it claims to do.Get satisfied with the services provided by default! Avoid using third party Scripts which might be malicious.

6. Never get excited to see a site claiming to have 1000 cool orkut tricks for which you have to just log in to your orkut account. Don’t trust that site. That’s a phishing site.

7. Never tick the box “REMEMBER ME” on the orkut homepage if you are surfing from a cafe or a public area.

8. Always remember to hit Sign out button, when you are done.

*Genuine version of windows is pretty safe as its inbuilt browser[internet explorer i.e] provides safe guard against tracking viruses,but in pirated windows the inbuilt browser is the best way of getting yourself hacked.Hence I suggest using Mozilla firefox or chrome\opera as a replace since they are pretty safe.

Hubble, the astronomer, looked beyond the boundaries of our home galaxy, the Milky Way, and discovered that the universe is much larger than we thought. Hubble, the telescope, has peered even farther into the outer reaches of our universe, further enhancing our understanding of the cosmos.

Named for Edwin Hubble, the telescope has brought the universe into view with far greater clarity than ever before. Since its launch in 1990 aboard the space shuttle Discovery, Hubble has confirmed the existence of black holes, refined our knowledge of the age and size of the universe, and stared back to nearly the dawn of time, revealing a jumble of primordial galaxies. Hubble is controlled at the Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md. The science mission is directed by the Space Telescope Science Institute at the Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. Hubble research and funding engages a significant fraction of the worldwide professional astronomical community.

Nearly 400 years ago, the Italian scientist Galileo opened a whole new world when he pointed the newly invented telescope toward the heavens. His crude telescope detected pockmarks on the moon and satellites around Jupiter, proving that the Earth wasn’t the only special place in the cosmos. Galileo’s discoveries revolutionized our view of our place in the universe.

The launch and deployment of NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope, likewise, has changed our understanding of the heavens. From capturing the nearby, violent death of a massive star to staring far back in time to see embryonic galaxies, Hubble’s many awe-inspiring moments have brought the beauty and mystery of space to homes all over the world.

The Earth-orbiting observatory collects and analyzes light from visible to near infrared, seeing more sharply than any previous telescope. The telescope has a much clearer view of the heavens because of its unique position above Earth’s roily atmosphere, which distorts starlight, making it dance and wiggle. Its razor-sharp vision of celestial objects has turned the “hints and suspicions”of terrestrial observations into certainties, forcing theorists to rewrite broad-brush theories.

By observing 14,000 astronomical targets, Hubble has contributed significantly to astronomical research, from our solar system to the most distant galaxies.

LIFE CYCLE OF STARS

Moving from planets to stars, the telescope documented in colorful detail the births and deaths of these bright celestial objects. It provided visual proof that pancake-shaped dust disks around young stars are common, suggesting that the raw materials for planet formation are in place. The orbiting telescope showed for the first time that jets of material rising from embryonic stars emanate from the centers of disks of dust and gas, thus turning what was previously merely theory into an observed reality.

DYING IN STYLE

Hubble delivered many stunning pictures of stellar deaths, such as the glowing shrouds surrounding Sun-like stars (called planetary nebulae), the mysterious rings of material around the exploding, massive star called Supernova 1987A, and the twin lobes of matter billowing from Eta Carinae. Ground-based images suggested that many of these objects had simple shapes, but Hubble revealed that their shapes are more complex.

A FEEDING FRENZY

Hubble also is yielding clues to what is causing the flurry of activity in the hearts of many galaxies. These central regions are very crowded, with stars, dust, and gas competing for space. But Hubble managed to probe these dense regions, providing decisive evidence that supermassive black holes — compact “monsters” that gobble up any material that ventures near them — reside in the centers of many galaxies. These elusive “eating machines” cannot be observed directly, because nothing, even light, escapes their stranglehold. But the telescope provided indirect, yet compelling, evidence of their existence. Hubble’s crisp images revealed a doughnut-shaped structure composed of dust and gas around a central object, presumably a black hole. The telescope also helped astronomers determine the masses of several black holes by measuring the velocities of material whirling around them.

NATURE’S “LIGHTBULBS”

Most scientists believe that black holes are the “engines” that power quasars, powerful light beacons located more than halfway across the universe. Hubble has surveyed quasars, confirming that nature’s brightest “lightbulbs” reside in galaxies. The observations also revealed that many of these galaxies are merging with other galaxies. The mergers kick up lots of dust and gas, providing an important clue for how black holes feed and power quasars.

GALAXY BUILDING BLOCKS

Hubble also peered across space to study galaxies in an infant universe. (Probing the distant cosmos means looking back in time.) Hubble’s observations indicate that the young cosmos was filled with much smaller and more irregularly shaped galaxies than those astronomers see in our nearby universe. These smaller structures, composed of gas and young stars, may be the building blocks from which the more familiar spiral and elliptical galaxies formed, possibly through processes such as multiple galaxy collisions. The Hubble observations also show that the early universe more vigorously manufactured stars than it does today.

AN EXPANDING UNIVERSE

The universe doesn’t remain still: it’s expanding. Astronomer Edwin Hubble made that observation in the 1920s. Since then, astronomers have debated how fast it is expanding, a value called the Hubble constant. In May 1999 a team of astronomers announced they had obtained a value for the Hubble constant, an essential ingredient needed to determine the age, size, and fate of the universe. They did it by measuring the distances to 18 galaxies, some as far as 65 million light-years from Earth. By obtaining a value for the Hubble constant, the team then determined that the universe is 12 to 14 billion years old.

A SPEEDY UNIVERSE

One of the most dramatic astronomical discoveries of this century came in 1998, when two independent teams, using Hubble and other telescopes, found strong evidence that the cosmic expansion is accelerating. The orbiting observatory’s major contribution was the accurate measurement of the luminosities of some of the most distant exploding stars, called supernovae.

COSMIC EXPLOSIONS

Hubble teamed up with a fleet of X-ray, gamma-ray, and visible-light observatories in a quest to analyze the sources of gamma-ray bursts. Gamma-ray bursts may represent the most powerful explosions in the universe since the Big Bang. Before 1997 astronomers were stumped: although they had observed more than 2,000 “bursts,” they couldn’t determine whether these fireballs occurred in our galaxy or at remote distances. Hubble images showed unambiguously that the bursts actually reside in far-flung galaxies rife with star formation.

King’s research, due for publication in the journal Biotechnology and Bioengineering, shows how he uses the protein selectin to attract cancer cells , and TNR (tumor necrosis factor) to then kill the cancer. The implantable tube is coated with selectin. When the cancer cells adhere to the selectin coated surface of the tube, King exposed the cancer cells to TRAIL (Tumor Necrosis Factor Related Apoptosis-Inducing Ligand). When the cancer cells are released back into the bloodstream to die, the cancer-killing device stands ready to trap and destroy the next batch of deadly cancer cells. King says, “It’s a little more sophisticated than just filtering the blood, because we’re not just accumulating cancer cells on the surface.”

The device captures and destroys about 30% of cancer cells. Once it is implanted and enclosed into the body, the device could conceivably kill many more cancer cells. Combined with traditional cancer therapies , Dr. King believes his device could remove a large portion of cancer cells, destroy them, “and give the body a fighting chance to remove the rest of them.”

The implantable device was tested on cancer of the prostate and colon. It will take several years before the implant can be used in humans. Dr. King says, “The actual physical device, when it gets eventually tested in humans, will probably look a lot like an arteriovenous shunt [a small tube, or shunt, that diverts blood flow] with our protein coating. This has never been tried before. It’s a whole new way of approaching cancer treatment. There’s a lot of work yet to be done, of course, before this actually helps people — but this is how it starts.”

Technopark is organizing an Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp for ‘Promoting Innovation, Incubation and Entrepreneurship‘ in the campuses of Academic Institutions across Central Kerala at Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies (MACFAST),Tiruvalla on 12^th Jan, 2009. The programme is jointly organized by Technopark. Technopark TBI, Technopark TePP Outreach Centre (TUC), Mar Athanasios College for Advanced Studies (MACFAST) Tiruvalla, Technofirst , STED ,Amal Jyothi College of Engineering and National Centre for Innovation,Incubation, & Entrepreneurship (NCIIE) . This workshop is the third follow up program of Technopreneur 2008, a groundbreaking workshop series launched on the eve of ISBA2008 Conference, which was successfully conducted by Technopark from Jan 30^th to Feb 2^nd, which was a grand success. ISBA is the Indian STEPs (Science and Technology Entrepreneurs’ Parks) and Business Incubation Association. The Events saw the convergence of a large number of distinguished personalities to Technopark, Trivandrum, from within the country as well as from outside, including delegates from the different arms of the World Bank like infoDev and the Asian Association of Business Incubators (AABI). The target audience includes prospective Innovators, Faculty members and Students of Engineering Colleges in Central Kerala comprising of the Districts Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam and Idukki.

Step by Step guide to charge your mobile battery using Peepal leaves

1- Open your mobile cover

2- Take out your battery

3- Take two to three fresh leaves of peepal/pipal/ashwattha tree

4- Touch the stub of these leaves on your mobile battery terminal for a MINUTE

5- Clean the mobile battery terminal with a soft cloth

6- Put the battery back in your mobile and switch it on

7- Now you can see the result

8- If required, repeat the process with fresh leaves !
