There is a law that defines our living , with everything that we have as a gain , there will be something of equivalent value that we are meant to be losing’. Happy may not be a rich for he wouldn’t be knowing what true riches are; a poor with all he ever desired from his children might see heaven in the hell he was made to born.

If someone is meek and is good enough in sight, then there should be something that he/she is ought to be lacking; if its not a happy family with money for a living, i wonder, then “what it would be” ?…..

But the world isn’t perfect, and the law is incomplete. Equivalent Exchange doesn’t encompass everything that goes on here. But I still choose to believe in its principle: that all things do come at a price. That there’s ebb, a flow, and a cycle.

Have you ever wondered how god decides which birth should be the bad guy and
which one the good guy to keep this world’s story at a balance and interesting?.
Well, if you ask me, i would say there is no such thing as good or bad;
it’s just how you give out to your world and what you get in return.
For me, my life experience tells that, how well one behaves decides what he achieves in life.
The word “well” can be a good thing for someone while it would be the vilest deed for another.
Some thrive by what we call “goodness’ in them and what they found as goodness ‘taken into them,while some are so born to live that they can thrive only in “vileness’ ;
so indeed both are ways of sustainance for a human being.
It’s the experience that we gain from this life that matters to our father ,
not what we do as good or bad, for he is the the one who knows “we are build that way by him;imperfect seeks perfection is the quest – a true being from his desires” .

അനാമിക..പേരു ഇല്ലാത്തവള്‍.അവളെ പരിചയപ്പെടാം.
സാഗറിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിലൂടെ ഹൃസ്വമായ ഒരു യാത്ര..

അനാമിക

മഴ നിര്‍ത്താതെ പെയ്തു രാത്രി മുഴുവനും.അത് പുലര്‍ച്ചയുടെ ഭംഗി കൂട്ടിയെന്ന് സാഗറിന് തോന്നി.അയാള്‍ കിടക്കയില്‍ നിന്നും എഴുന്നേറ്റു പുറത്തേക്ക് നോക്കി.ഇലച്ചാര്‍ത്തുകളില്‍ വെള്ളത്തുള്ളികള്‍, അതിലൂടെ കടന്നു വരുന്ന സൂര്യകിരണങ്ങള്‍.

എന്നും ചെയുന്ന പോലെ മ്യൂസിക് പ്ലെയര്‍ ഓണാക്കി.കിഷോര്‍കുമാര്‍ പാടുന്നു..”റിം ജിം ഗിരെ സാവന്‍…”
കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ കാലം തന്നെ നോക്കി പുഞ്ചിരിക്കുന്നതായി സാഗറിന് തോന്നി.അയാള്‍ അറിയാതെ മൂളി.
“കഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ കാലം കടലിനിക്കരെ..
കൊഴിഞ്ഞു പോയ മോഹം മനസിനിക്കരെ…”

യാത്രകളും,കലാ-രാഷ്ട്രീയ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനങ്ങളുമായി നടന്ന തന്റെ പഴയ കാലത്തെക്കുറിച്ച് അയാള്‍ ഒന്നോര്‍ത്തു.ഇതേ പോലെ ഒരു പ്രഭാതത്തില്‍ ആണ് ആദ്യമായി അവളെ കണ്ടത്.

അവസാന വര്‍ഷ ബി എ കാലഘട്ടം.

തലേന്ന് ഓതറ പടയണി കഴിഞ്ഞു, അരവിന്ദന്റെ വീട്ടില്‍ കൂടി.തിരികെ കോളേജിലേക്ക് വരുമ്പോള്‍, അങ്ങാടി കവലയില്‍ ആണ് അവളെ ആദ്യം കണ്ടത്.തലയില്‍ തുളസികതിര്‍ ചൂടി, ചന്ദന കുറിയിട്ട് ഒരു നാടന്‍ പെണ്ണ്.ഗ്രാമത്തിന്റെ വിശുദ്ധിയും നൈര്‍മല്ല്യവും ഉള്ള പെണ്‍കുട്ടി.

സാഗറിന്റെ സിരകളില്‍ പ്രണയം ഒഴുകി നടന്ന ദിവസങ്ങള്‍.നിശബ്ദ പ്രണയം അപകടകാരി അല്ല എന്ന് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞ സാഗര്‍, പ്രണയം തന്റെ ഉള്ളിലേക്ക് ഒതുക്കി.എവിടെയെങ്കിലും മറഞ്ഞു നിന്നു അവളെ ഒരു നോക്ക് കാണും.അത്ര മാത്രം.അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തുക്കളോട് പോലും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.

പ്രണയകാലത്തിന്റെ തിരശീലയില്‍ രണ്ടു മാസങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് ശേഷമുള്ള ഒരു യുവജനോത്സവ വേദി.

കോളേജ് ആര്‍ട്ട് സെക്രെട്ടറി ആയ തനിക്ക് നിന്നു തിരിയാന്‍ സമയം ഇല്ലായിരുന്നു.സാഗര്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തു. ഏതോ വേദിയുടെ അരികിലൂടെ കടന്നു പോയപ്പോള്‍ ആണ് ആ അറിയിപ്പ് കേട്ടത്.
“മോഹിനിയാട്ടം ചെസ്റ്റ് നമ്പര്‍ ബി 34 ഫസ്റ്റ് കാള്‍”

വേദിയില്‍ ചുവടുകള്‍ വെച്ച ആ പെണ്‍കുട്ടിയോട് തനിക്ക് തോന്നിയ പ്രണയം ആരാധന ആയി മാറി.സാഗര്‍ ഓര്‍ത്തു.

ദിവസങ്ങള്‍ക്കു ശേഷം പുസ്തകങ്ങളുടെ ഇടയില്‍ അവര്‍ കണ്ടു മുട്ടി,പരിചയപെട്ടു.

“അനാമിക, നൃത്തം ഗംഭീരം ആയിരുന്നു. ഞാന്‍, എന്നെ…”

സാഗര്‍ മുഴുമിപ്പിച്ചില്ല.അവള്‍ മറുപടി പറഞ്ഞു.
“അറിയാം.റൂം മേറ്റ്സ് പറഞ്ഞറിയാം.”

അത് ഒരു സൌഹൃദമായി മാറി.അവര്‍ പിന്നെ പലപ്പോഴും കണ്ടു, സംസാരിച്ചു.നല്ല സുഹൃത്തുക്കള്‍ ആയി.

ഫോണിന്റെ ശബ്ദം അയാളെ ഓര്‍മകളില്‍ നിന്നും മുക്തനാക്കി.

“സാഗര്‍, ദേവന്‍ ആണ്.നീ എന്തിനാണ് രാത്രിയില്‍ വിളിച്ചത്?”.

“അത് ദേവന്‍ ഒരു ഗുഡ് ന്യൂസ് ഉണ്ട്. അനാമിക മടങ്ങി വന്നു.ഇന്നലെ രാത്രിയില്‍.അനില്‍ ഉണ്ട് കൂടെ. നീണ്ട 15 വര്‍ഷത്തെ പ്രവാസ ജീവിതം മതിയാക്കി അവര്‍ മടങ്ങി എത്തി.കാറില്‍ ഇരുന്നാണ് എന്നെ വിളിച്ചത്. അനിലിന്റെ അമ്മാതെക്ക് പോകുന്ന വഴി ആയിരുന്നു. പിന്നെ വിളിക്കാം, കുറെ ബിസിനസ്സ് പ്ലാന്‍സ് ഉണ്ട് എന്നും അനില്‍ പറഞ്ഞു.”

“ഇറ്റ്സ് ഗുഡ്..ഓക്കേ, നമ്മുക്ക് വൈകുന്നേരം കാണാം..”ദേവന്‍ ഫോണ്‍ കട്ട് ആക്കി.ദേവന്‍ അനാമികയുടെയും സാഗര്‍ഇന്റെയും ഏറ്റവും അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്താണ്.

അനില്‍.പ്രവാസിയായ ഒരു ബിസിനസ്സ്കാരന്‍‍.അനാമികയുടെ അമ്മായിയുടെ മകന്‍.അവര്‍ തമ്മിലുള്ള വിവാഹം ചെറുപ്പത്തിലെ ഉറപ്പിച്ചതാണ്.

തന്റെ പ്രണയം അവളോട് ഒരിക്കലും പറഞ്ഞില്ല.പറയുന്നതിന് സൌഹൃദം തടസം ആയി നിന്നു. അവള്‍ തന്നെ അനിലിനു പരിചയപെടുത്തി ഒരിക്കല്‍.അനില്‍ സാഗറിന്റെ അടുത്ത സുഹൃത്തായി.സാഗറിന്റെ പ്രണയം അങ്ങനെ ഒരിക്കലും തുറന്നു കാട്ടാത്ത ഒന്നായി ആ ഹൃദയത്തില്‍ അവശേഷിച്ചു.

കാലത്തിന്റെ വെള്ളപ്പാച്ചിലില്‍ ആ പ്രണയം എങ്ങോ പൊയ് മറഞ്ഞു.അനാമിക അനിലിനെ വിവാഹം കഴിച്ചു വെളിനാട്ടിലെക്ക് യാത്ര ആയി.വല്ലപ്പോഴും ഉള്ള വിളികള്‍ മാത്രം. സാഗര്‍ പൊതു പ്രവര്‍ത്തനവും, കല-സാംസ്‌കാരിക രംഗത്തെ പ്രവര്‍ത്തനവും കൊണ്ട് സമൂഹത്തില്‍ അറിയപെടുന്ന ഒരു വ്യക്തി ആയി മാറി.അനിലിന്റെ നാട്ടിലെ ബിസിനസ്സ് ഏറ്റെടുത്ത് നടത്താനായി ദേവനെ ഏല്പിച്ചു അനില്‍.

പത്രം കൊണ്ടു വരുന്ന പയ്യന്റെ സൈക്കിള്‍ ബെല്‍ കേട്ടാണ് സാഗര്‍ വീണ്ടും ചിന്തകളില്‍ നിന്നും ഉണര്‍ന്നത്.

കതകു തുറന്നു പത്രം എടുത്തു.മുന്‍ പേജിലെ വാര്‍ത്ത കണ്ടു അസ്തപ്രജ്ഞനായി നിന്നു പോയി അയാള്‍.
ആലുവയിലെ കാറപകടം: വ്യവസായപ്രമുഖന്‍ അനില്‍ നമ്പ്യാരും കുടുംബവും കൊല്ലപെട്ടു.

ഓര്‍മ്മകള്‍ മരണത്തിന്റെ ഗന്ധം കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ആ പ്രഭാതത്തെ സാഗര്‍ മനസ്സു കൊണ്ട് ശപിച്ചു. അയാളുടെ കണ്ണുകള്‍ നിറഞ്ഞു, കൂടെ പ്രകൃതിയുടെ കണ്ണുകളും.

മഴ തകര്‍ത്തു പെയ്തു തുടങ്ങി.

the tsunami smrithi mandapam at Azheekal

Rajeesh is also a victim of Tsunami….Actually they like to forget what happend on that december 26th..But out of our eagerness to know-excactly what happend on that day..he explained to us..
before going to that you should have an idea about the geographical condition of Azheekal…Azheekal is a small village in Alappad grama panchayatu.Alappad is actually an island.A narrow piece of land bounded by the Arabian sea in the west and the Kayamkulam Lake in the east..There is no direct link to connect the island to the main land except a bridge at Panikkarkadavu near karunagapally.The villagers in Azheekal were using  ‘kadathu’ to go to oachira which is just 6 km away.

” 26th december 2004

It was a dull morning at Azheekal.Nature was very different that day..(Every minute change in  nature will affect the inmates of Azheekal).By 10 am water from lake started rising and falling.Similar was the situation in the sea…people thought that it was due to tide..but this was like both high tide and low tide apperaing very close…
people were eager to see this phenomenon as it was the first time in Azheekal..Myself and some friends also went to see this interesting phenomenon which showed its destructive phase very soon…By 12.50 pm sealevel started falling very rapidly….Suddenly it regained its full strength and a huge wave was seen approaching us..we started running for our life..The wave hit the shore and i found a safe place in a tree trunk…the island was filled with water..there was no seperation between the lake and the sea.by this time another huge wave hit the shore.We were in a state of chaos..totally confused!!!…And when the water started decreasing we rushed back to our houses.but still we were unaware of the fact that we were hit by something called ‘Tsunami‘…And in fear of another disastrous wave, we rushed to the mainland in boats.By then we realized the fact that many of us lost our relatives,houses and everything…

Still now we dont like to remember that day, still we live on the same place with the fear left by Tsunami…. ”

back from Rajeesh…
now we are seeing an entirely different Azheekal..Many social organizations recreated the village.We wont see any remnants of Tsunami there..But the people of Azheekal cant forget that day……………….

This is just an incident that happened with me when i had undertaken a trip to Thrissur during our Onam holidays.

I was on my way to Aluva from Ernakulam by a KSRTC bus. I had seated myself near the window on a two seater. The seat beside and behind me were vacant. Soon as the bus started from Ernakulam stand, I was joined by three old aged persons in the vacant seats. It is the problem with old aged people that they start their conversation loudly irrespective of the place they are in and the disturbance caused to others b’coz of them. I was cursing my fate that i couldn’t sleep b’coz their loud talk, since I had started my journey at 7.30 in the morning. But as their conversation progressed, I started to take interest in their talk. Soon I discovered that they were actually talking about the dire state of politics in our country. Taking more interest in them, I actually found out many new things that are taking place in our surroundings. They were talking about the common minimum programme of the UPA government, the Singur crisis in West Bengal, the dire state of common man under the Left government in Kerala and they were emphasizing on the schemes which were only for the farmers. Then I got to know that the US government has started putting sanctions on Indian government for reusability of seeds for sowing purpose. This was actually something new to me.

I was completely engrossed in their talk which u people might not be, but I haven’t expressed this incident to bore u people. This has been done to just ask a simple question ” how many of us(younger generation) has really thought about the state our country ? “.Those people, beside me(in bus), are actually at the end of their lives. They do not care for the poor state of the country but, we should. We are actually termed as the future of INDIA. If we don’t, then who would ?. If we just engross ouselves in our study, our development, our money and future, then who would care for the future of INDIA, our country. It has been high time since ‘the old aged’ & ‘the spectacle at the end of nose’ kinda people ruled our country. How much in a day we think about our country when it’s best time to think and come out with solutions. Only becoming engineers & doctors won’t help the country, b’coz this is a root problem & we need to go there.

Don’t take these as lessons. Only those who are interested need to think & if u r really ready, I have a kinda solution(contact me).

Just ponder over.

So… Here it starts……….

Once upon a time, there was an island where all the feelings lived. Happiness.. Sadness…Vanity…Pride… Knowledge… and all of the others including Love .One day it was announced to the feelings that the island would sink. So all of them constructed boats and left. Except Love….!

Love was the only one who stayed back. He wanted to hold out until the last possible moment. But when the island had almost sunk, Love decided to ask for help. Richness was passing by love in a grand boat. Love asked, “Richness, can you take me with you?” Richness answered, “No, I can’t. There are lot of gold and silver in my boat. So there is no place for you.”

Then he decided to ask Vanity who was also passing by in a beautiful vessel. “Vanity please help me!!” “I can’t help you, Love… You are all wet and might damage my boat..”, Vanity answered. Sadness was close by. So Love asked, “Sadness, please let me go with you.” “Oh…….Love, I am so sad that I need to be myself! I am sorry dear…. ” Happiness passed by Love too, but she was so happy that she didn’t even hear when Love called her!

Love was hurted.. hurted to the core! He never thought that all other feelings; who were his fellowbeings; and who are supposed to be with him forever will leave him like this.. That too in such a desperate situation! Huh.. He felt like crying.. But couldn’t.. as the ‘mighty’ sadness has already left him!! By this time.. the island was totally under the sea.. and the poor love.. he closed his eyes.. and prepared himself to be in the coldness forever….yea… in the lap of death!

Suddenly, he heard a voice, “Come Love, I will take you.” It was an elder person. Love felt like he is blessed atlast.. He sailed along with the elder.. without any feelings or emotions! Love even forgot to ask the elder who is he.. & where they were going… When they arrived at dry land, the elder went his own way. Realizing how much he owned the elder, Love asked Knowledge; another elder who was already there;“Who helped me?” “It was time”, Knowledge answered “Time???!!! But why did Time help me?” Knowledge smiled with deep wisdom and answered, “Because…… only Time is capable of understanding how valuable Love is……’”

named after the great Buddha….is in fact a home away from home for me…..i don’t know whether the hostlers agree with me….((I don’t find any reason ….why they don’t….after all,, my ears are always full of the adventures they are having))…but being a day scholar….i am happy that half of my time is spent in this great institution……..our college does not have a list of great famous personnel who have passed out…in fact this college was established in 2002….yeah…my college is in its infancy…..yet it has outgrown itself by all means in this small span……it has the innocence of a child ,,the willpower of a winner and the perseverance that is ever lasting…

Each day to the college begins with our favorite college bus journey….its an experience…..with all the hungama…all the teasing that we enjoy….right from the barding point in the morning back to the same every evening((there is no break for the ever rolling tongues…..it has no shortage for fuel in all seasons ))….the mood in the bus sets the day……..if its jovial…the day will be full of fun,…if its dull….then the day is just not worth mentioning…..most of us have graduated in the art of doing homework and writing records in a bus that is running through the smooth roads of Kerala….in fact we should be given awards for these dare devil stunts……it is in the bus that we study our daily portions….hoping and not forgetting to pray to all the deities in the temples along the way that at least for that day just make me a stranger to imposition…..

The first glimpse at the college ,when we start the downhill ride, is breathtaking….

Each day , the sun provides a different treat for eyes…surrounded by mountains and water…its indeed a heaven…..an adequate place …suitable to be our temple of learning.

As soon as we set our feet on the ground….the mad rush starts….every day is a new day for us…there is that usual “hellos,” ”hi”, ”good morning” ..i always wonder how we always have these never ending tales and discussions…..we are indeed great thinkers and philosophers…..the writings in our benches often remind us that we are the followers of a great bunch of “SBCEians”……

The classes begin for the day with a prayer…the only time the college is really quiet is when the prayer song echoes out through each and every inch of the college…then the daily chores begin….the tedious lectures…of course .the 6 hours of classes can be classified as follows..((I am an engineering student…so I am good at this classification)).

1) hour that really carries us into unknown lands…((we call that class dreaming hours))…

2) hour that really teaches us the meaning of thirst for knowledge..

3) hour that constantly drag our attention to our lunch boxes…that really boosts our hunger

4) hour that I can really see the different postures of sleeping and yawning…its just a habit to say good night ….even in the broad daylight…

5) hour that all the students engross themselves in extra curricular activities…((throwing paperballs ,,drawing caricature..,, singing)).we should be all-rounders…of course there are some who sit like nothing matters…”.i am studying” ….

6)hours that see us sweating in the labs…”was that sulphuric acid??? ” “oh my god, .i have just found out a new compound”..”Dont worry  yaar….u’ll be nominated for the Nobel prize this year….”…these occasional outbursts cannot be subdued inspite of the constant keep silence in lab warnings.on an on goes these conversations…with the ocassional breakin test tube activities……

The intervals we get in between is the time for studies…or else we will be the proud recipients of imposition awards……then the lunch break is the real break…..when all the students sit together sharing the food……..the perfect example of unity in diversity….its so easy to open the mouth simultaneously for food and talking…it is an art mastered after years of hard work…

As the bell rings…signifying the end of the day’s work….all rush out with their bags…running towards the bus….oho….we are not going to leave the college that easily…infact some are going to be seated around the trees meeting their friends in other departments…while some are running to the canteen.. its now the time for treats….”your neighbour bought a new dog ..right….where is the treat…..????” its your sisters friends birthday…..lets order 5 ice creams” on an on goes this saga of treats…..its a do or die situation for the person who has to pay the bill …while the whole group of hungry faces watch the scene with interest….

Its so good to be in the college in the midst of all our friends……….who are always there to tease ,,,encourage,,, support …the teaching faculty who have created a bond with the students…always there to support us and share our joys and sorrows…

The management who have provided us with the best facilities….making sure that each member of the SBCE family is happy….as the day comes to an end…it feels so thankful and gratifying that I am studying in this gem of an institution.

As the the engines of the bus come into life….all go back to their respective bus….with the usual “ byes”, “see you tomorrow”…we all know that we are going to be seeing each other the next day,,,,,,with great anticipation of the coming day and the lots of lesson studied from that day…..tired yet smiling we all have a last look at the college for the day…as the bus leaves the campus…some eyes turn back to devour the college…. to whisper silently “ I love you SBCE…””
