Workshop on Web Application Security for Developers

A Two day workshop on Web Application Security Training specially for Developers to be held on Friday 10th & Saturday 11th December 2010 at Park center Technopark. Those who are interested kindly enroll there participation along with training fees of Rs.4000/ – plus 10.3% Service Tax for Per Participant which include training, material( softcopy ), Lunch, tea/coffe etc. Trainer will be Mr. Sreepathi Krishnan – He had more than 8 years experience in Web application security and building Secure SOA Architecture. Sripathi has more than 6 years experience building and architecting websites, and currently works for Trilogy Software. For the past 4 years, he has been working with Ford Motor Company to design a secure SOA architecture. Previously, he has worked with Quattro Wireless (now Apple) to build their mobile ad online bidding platform; and with Digite software as a developer on their enterprise Project management software.

Mr.Sripathi works with developers to help them build secure websites. He mostly works with java based technologies, but has also worked on PHP and .NET environments before. He has extensive knowledge with web frameworks, and takes a very keen interest in browser security model. In his spare time, he works on the open source project – degwt – which attempts to de-obfuscate js code to identify security problems.

Welcome to the 6th Edition of ViBGYOR International Film Festival for Short & Documentary films, to be held in Thrissur, Kerala, India from January 12-16, 2011! The 6th ViBGYOR is dedicated to the memory of late C. Saratchandran, the noted filmmaker and activist and our friend and co-traveler at ViBGYOR. Accordingly we have chosen ‘Political Filmmaking and Media Activism in South Asia’ as the special focus theme of the year. Anand Padvardhan is the festival Director for 2011 VIBGYOR.

ViBGYOR Screens around 100 films at the festival. If you or a friend wishes to send a recent film/s (Documentaries/Short Fiction/Animations/ Music Videos/Spots) to ViBGYOR, we shall gladly include them in the PREVIEW for preliminary selection. An eminent panel of Jury will select the final set of films to be screened at the Festival.

The last date for film submissions is November 15th, 2010 (postmarked). Download Entry Forms from http://vibgyorfilm.org/system/files/entryform2011.pdf . Don’t forget to include all required documents/material (duly filled Entry Form, Synopsis, production details, stills form the film etc) as hard copy or preferably as soft copy on a separate CD. You can also email to us these details and stills as well, but ensure that you comply with standrard file formats and resolution requirements. All selected films will receive a Certificate of Participation. ViBGYOR is a non-competitive Film Festival, so thre are no Awards. However we might award filmmaking Fellowships to deserving young filmmakers as per the recommendations of the Selection Jury.
All selected filmmakers are invited to attend the festival and are assured of local hospitality. (ViBGYOR is not in a position to pay for travel expenses).
With your presumed permission, we might inlude Selected/Non-selected films in the ViBGYOR Touring Festival conducted in schools, colleges and villages and small towns in Kerala and elsewhere.

Department of Commerce and Tourism, Mar Ivanios College, Trivandrum and Muthoot Pappachan group is organizing a two day National commerce fest Zreyas 2010. The event is first of its kind where students from top institutions will show off their managerial and entrepreneurial skills when they go through some seriously innovative and exciting competition. The event is a two day fest which will begin on October 8^th

As part of the event along with trivandrumbuzz, Zreyas is organizing an Online quiz to test your knowledge and make some money.
