The much awaited PG programme, M.Tech in Computer Science & Engg., is all set to begin on 24.10.2011. The list of shortlised students are published in the college website (www.sbce.ac.in). Selected candidates  are requested to report before the undersigned at 10 am on Monday the 24th of October 2011 with all credentials in original and the required fees.

SBCians starting an early preparation for the upcoming placement drives. A 5 days exclusive training session will start from tomorrow, 13th Sept. 2011, onwards. The classes will be handled by experts from Career Launcher.

Association of Computer Science & Engg., Cyborgs, organised a technical talk on Arduino. Mr.Kenney Jacob, Co-Founder Mobme, delivered the talk in the department seminar hall on 26th August 2011.

Arduino is an open-source electronics prototyping platform based on flexible, easy-to-use hardware and software. It’s intended for artists, designers, hobbyists, and anyone interested in creating interactive objects or environments.

The talk was organised for the final year CS students who are about to start their course project. The session was followed by demonstration of small projects based on Arduino.

MOMENT(Majestic Organisation of Mechanical Engineering Technocrats ) association of  Mechanical Engg. of SBC inaugurated their events for this year on 23 rd August 2011.

The department of Electronics & Communication conducted the inauguration of the current academic year activities of ETA(2011-’12) and the release of dept magazine, “Destino” on August 5,2011(Friday). Dr. B. Premlet(Dept. of Physics,TKM College of Engineering, Kollam) was the chief guest. Principal Dr. Somi Sebastian, Head of the Dept. Ms. R. Ramya, ETAcoordinator Mr. Jayaraj.V.S(Asst. Professor)  were present in the function. ‘Destino’ was handed over by Principal to the Chief guest. Also, a technical talk on the subject, “Role of EC Engineers to make Power grid smart” by Premlet sir followed the function. The program was resumed by the curtain raiser(Video promo release) of EC Dept fest, TAKSHATI 2K12.

A new Internet Computing Centre with fully networked 60 desktop Computers and supported by 4.0 Mbps Internet facility has been opened to the students by the Chairman of the college Prof. K.Sasikumar on 20th August 2011 at 10.30 a.m.

Secretary of Sree Buddha Educational Society(SBES) Prof.V.Prasad, Treasurer(SBES) Mr.K.K.Sivadasan, Head of Dept. of Computer Science & Engg. Mr.Anil A.R. other staffs and students blessed the occasion by their presence.

Inter College Photography & Movie Making Contest!!!

NSS unit of Amal Jyothi College of Engineering is conducting an inter college photography and movie making contest as a tribute to Lukes Joy who departed from this world on 18th april 2009.Lukes Joy had always been a dedicated NSS volunteer was an extremely talented photographer.In fond of  memory of  Luke,NSS unit of the college has decided to conduct an ever – rolling photography contest on 26/02/2011 at AmalJyothi College of Engineering,Kanjirapally at 10 am.There for we are inviting each and every one to participate in this competition and make this event a grand success.

We know everyone was eagerly waiting for this month’s competition. As usual we have a cool competition this month too.

Campus Blogs in association with ayruz web holdings and aswini is organizing a photography competition from 12th November 2010 to 25th November 2010. The competition will be open for all and is not limited to the CampusBlogging Network. The winners will be announced in December. The prize for the best photograph will be a Digital Camera worth Rs. 10,000. The winner will be selected by a jury appointed by ayruz web holdings.

We are excited to announce the result of Campus Blogging Competition October results. The best three bloggers will receive scholarships for studying “Applied Economics” course at the Hedge School of Applied Economics.
