“PYROS2k11” – A National Level Technical Extravagance is scheduled to take place on 10th & 11th of January 2011 at MANGALAM COLLEGE OF ENGINEERING, Kottayam (Ettumanoor). The event is organized by the Department of Computer Science & Engineering. The public figure who will be the center of attraction is former chairman of ISRO Sri G MADHAVAN NAIR will be the guest of honor.

Sreebuddha college of engineering, Pattoor is organizing an alumni meet – samagamam’2010 on 23rd December 2010 at our college.

All the alumni are invited to this wonderful day to rejoice and revive those wonderful days @sbce.

On 4th Feb 2010, our college hosted a spectacular cultural program on the occasion of the inauguration of a very renowned organization
” SPIC MACAY “. SPIC MACAY, which stands for Society for Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth, has been responsible for facilitating awareness amongst the youth regarding their historical cultural diversities. It seeks to conserve and promote an awareness of this rich and heterogeneous cultural tapestry amongst the youth of this country through focus on the classical arts, with their attendant legends, rituals and mythology.

The Machine expo Organised by the faculties and studentz of SBCE was mind blowing as well as  informative. The studentz and faculty were exposed to the technological advancements in the world around them.This is first time in kerala that a college organises a machine expo. More than 12 companies like KEL ,BOSCH etc take part in this expo.

                                     A special thanks to ELECTRICAL AND  ELECTRONICS DEPARTMENT for their great support to make this expo a grand success.

The prelims of the programme was conducted in the seminar hall …Out 0f 15 teams parcipated,4 of them were promoted to the on stage mains…

The mains had 4 rounds and 4 teams…..

We chose the names of the teams from the world of Carnatic Music…..The names were Arabhi,Mohanam,Hindolam and Desh…These are  some of the most enjoyable ragas in Carnatic music….Desh has a speciality that our national song Vande Mataram is composed in this ragam..

Astral 09 started….

Astral 09 started here yesterday.Astral-09 inauguration was unique in the history of  SBCE with the torch bearing procession starting from the Mechanical block.Our respected HR Prof.Thomas Mathew lighted the torch and passed it to the representative of Mechanical department.The torch reached  the Main Programme coordinator of Astral 09 Mr.R.Krishnaraj after being carried by the representatives of each department(ME,EE,CE,BT,CS and EC)

The flames from the torch lighted the ashtamangalyam and our principal Dr.K.V purushothaman lighted the lamp using that…The HOD’s of every department were present at the function
