AVIKSHIT-’09

As a part of the intra events of ASTRAL 09,

ETA,the electronics and communication students of SBCe had wonderfully organised and conducted AVIKSHIT-’09 on the first day of intra events.

It consisted mainly of two programmes

1. EXUBERANCE-’09

The search for the best debators of  SBCE.

There were four teams made up of 2 students in the final. Out of which t wo teams were taken at a time and they had a cross debate each other. There were two such sessions and the best two of the four teams selected by the judges had participated in the finals.

The winners were Electrical Department(Renjith Pillai EEE4 nd Nithin John EEE4), and they opened their account in the intra points tally. The second place was bagged by  the team comprised of Mechanical and Civil Department(Amal Raj CE1 nd Nijith Nair ME6).

The show was moderated by Vishnu Raj[EC6].

2.AURENIA-’09

The search for the best singer of SBCE

This was the most well awaited event of the whole college, to find our the best singer of SBCE. From the prelims 5 students were short listed and they performed extraordinarily in the finals. There had been 3 rounds and an elimination round in between.

First round was the favorites round where the finalists sung a choice of their own. The second round was  performance round in which the contestants performed with utmost beauty.

Then there was the elimination round. 2 were eliminated in that.Then the last round came in which the final 3 contestans had to sing a semi-classical song. The final decision was through voting of audience and was by the judges.

Ananthanarayanan of CS4 emerged as the winner  after showing a really marvellous performance in the semi-classical round.

Roshini Raja of BT 6 become the runnerup and Pournami of BT8 won the third place

Rinku Raichel[EC6] hosted the programme.
