Green peace on focus again….

This time they came up with  a green docu-drama-animation-”The age of stupid”.As  the poster says,the film will be telecasted worldwide on 22ndth of the September(21st on USA).

The global premiere will feature a Green Carpet in New York, where actress Gillian Anderson will lead notables including Kofi Annan, Mary Robinson and James Hansen in a discussion about how we can stop catastrophic climatic change.

Synopsis: Age of Stupid stars Oscar-nominated Pete Postlethwaite as a man living alone in the devastated world of 2055, looking back at ‘archive’ footage from 2007 and asking: why didn’t we stop climate change when we had the chance?

“GO GREEN”

when i saw THE HINDU newspaper on 3rd April, i was a bit ashamed…because there were more than 20 faces on the front page photo and i could hardly identify 4 or 5.

i decided to identify them then- and to be frank, its a very tedious task…
so, please  identify them if you can, otherwise, i can help you.

In India, even at the vedic period itself, the people were well aware of the significance of water conservation. they knew how much water is inevitable in the very existence of the earth.

here’s an excerpt from ASHTANGA HRIDAYA

“Paneeyam praninam prana

Viswameva cha thanmayam

Thasmath thoyath vina na vruthy

Swasthasya vyadhithasya cha.”

meaning

Paneeyam…….thanmayam

Water is the prana(breath) of all forms of life. Like Prana to our body, water is the elixir of life.

Thasmath…..vyadhithasya cha

Without water, nobody can never ever live- even the healthy and diseased. The word ‘diseased is specifically used here. Its a metaphor referring the abusers of all kinds of resources… even they cant live without water——-

This is the power of water-one of the basic elements of panchabhoota…

It’s an enthralling moment for India. We offer Hearts off to Danny and the entire crew of “slum dog millionaire”. Can you believe man? The film swept the Oscars bagging 8 awards at a time. It’s an honor to the 100+ crores of Indians.

Reciting Rahman, we always have a choice- love or hate.

Love all what we have and be proud of being a part of this huge success.

Actually we were waiting for such a moment for the last 50+ years. It was like winning an Olympic medal or like the launching of a new satellite. Yes, Indian cinema is on the top of the world now….

Striking features of the film is its music (Rahman), sound mixing, script, direction and the unblushing truth it points to. (Who doesn’t know the lives of Razul and Rahman?)

But the real essence of the film lies in the feelings of OPTIMISM &HOPE it radiates. Things are definitely going to change, if you try your level best.

Look friends, how beautiful our India is! Wow…I m proud of being a part of this ancient culture as like you…I cant go on telling u about the geographical features since I hate it right from my school days.

But one thing is clear for me today; that I should tell u something which is very urgent…this 26th is our republic day, right?

But I am kind of disappointed if you ask me…you know why???? Because the system designed by veterans like Dr.B.R.Ambedkar, Dr.S.Radhakrishnan and several others, is not on the right track

Like the struggling American economy, our rich and varied culture is on the way of complete collapse…Is this we want, after years of struggles and battles against the invaders? Are we supposed to lose the control over ourselves? Why can’t we make our dreams fulfilled? We are already late, my pal…why could we wait for another 10 or 15 years to meet our basic needs like

1. A sustainable economy

2. Eradication of poverty and illiteracy

3. Population control

4. A clean and fair administrative system

What went wrong? Can anybody point out? Ours were the best since the time immemorial… everything changed uncomfortably since we blindly followed the west without knowing the underlying traps…

Curses everywhere…in the form of conspiracy, piracy, corruption, terrorism, regionalism, fundamentalism….god, I’m ashamed of listing all those things.

So, what we need in this situation is a group of young civilians, who are well aware of their duties…

Be educated yourself in good politics…we people hate politics usually, why? Is it because of the thought that MNC’s hate IndiaJ? All because of the unending strikes and labor problems .Yes… it is a fact… that is why you want to go abroad and accelerate the brain drain, right?(now what happens in an alien country? Think…you are black, south Asian, and may be under the tag “terrorist”)…

Friends ,let your wisdom think about the country men… we are blessed to eat three or five times a day, upgrade our gadgets , do whatever we want and get whatever we see…

There are still millions of those struggling kind…. Think what you can do for them… realize the fact that your ultimate joy stands for the welfare of the entire nation…

I am not sure if my words could change you guys…it’s always better to take actions than remain silent…

Well…

Be a proud Indian…

Go deep into her soul, you will find Hindus, Muslims, Christians, Sikhs, Mongolians and a lot to name- bounded by the Tricolor

World governments are disussing a vital global deal on emission cuts now, as you may know. I don’t know how much true the news is, but it has been heard that, electronics industries(?) are ready to cut down their global emission rates. But unfortunately, only SHARP,FUJITSU SIEMENS,and PHILIPS show full support for this venture.all the other companies make meaningless statements about global emission reductions and have no plans to make absolute cuts themselves.but its now essential because of the overwhelming climatic disturbances all over the world, major electronic companies have to show some responsibilities rather then fluttering around.

With the aim of bringing awareness among the people , GREENPEACE has ranked the MNC’S according to their CLIMATIC LEADERSHIP.

With a highscore of around 6, NOKIA IS AT THE TOP.it is followed by SONY ERICSON,TOSHIBA and SAMSUNG.

FSC and LGE are a little bit better than MOTOROLA,SONY and PANASONIC(at the back).

Unfortunately, PHILIPS, jumped down very steps, with high carbon emision rates. SHARP is followed by ACER and DELL then .

You may ask what the heck are they doing when I says that MICROSOFT actually has no intention to turn GREEN with the ever lowest score below 3.LENOVO ,APPLE and HP are at better positions than MS.

Apple has also recently show leadership on removing the worst toxic substances with new ipods free of toxics brominated flame retardants and pvc.

So while shopping for new gadgets please think about you, your health, and if possible about the MOTHER EARTH.
