വീണ്ടും ഒരു മഴ. ജനാലക്കെരികിലൂടെ ഒരു ചൂടു കാപ്പി കുടിച്ച് ഞാന്‍ ഈ മഴയെ നോക്കി. അവള്‍ ഇന്നും അതു പോലെ തന്നെ. പ്രായമേറിയതിനാലാവാം ശക്തി കുറവാണ്. അതോ രാവിലേക്ക് പെയ്തിറങ്ങാന്‍ കരുതി വെക്കുന്നതോ?
ഈ മഴ എനിക്ക് വെറും മഴയല്ല. എന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ വളെരെ നോവിപ്പിക്കുന്ന ഓര്‍മ്മയാണ്. ഇത് എന്റെ അമ്മയാണ്.
പണ്ട് ഏട്ടന്‍ എനിക്കുണ്ടാക്കിത്തന്ന കടലാസു തോണിയെ ഈ മഴ മുക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞു. ഓടിച്ചെന്നെടുക്കണമെന്നുണ്ടായിരുന്നു. പക്ഷേ ഉമ്മറപ്പടിയിലെ അച്ഛന്റെ ചാരുകസേരയിലെ തുണിയിലൊളിപ്പിച്ച പഴുത്ത ചൂരല്‍..
ഞാന്‍ അവിടെയിരുന്ന് മഴയെ ഇളിച്ചുകാട്ടി. മഴ ഉറഞ്ഞുകാട്ടി. ഞാന്‍ വീണ്ടും ഇളിച്ചു. മഴയും. അമ്മ എന്നോടുപറഞ്ഞു. മോനേ മഴ പാവമല്ലേ? നിനക്കു ദാഹിക്കുമ്പോള്‍ വെള്ളം കുടിക്കണ്ടേ അതിന് മഴപെയ്യണ്ടേ? മഴയെക്കുറിച്ച് എന്റെ ആദ്യ അറിവ്. എന്റെ അമ്മ പകര്‍ന്നു തന്നത്. അങ്ങനെ ഞങ്ങള്‍ കൂട്ടുകാരായി. ഒരു വെയിലിന്റെ സാമീപ്യത്തോടെ അവള്‍ എന്നെ ചിരിച്ചുകാട്ടി.
പിന്നെ ഒരോമഴയിലും ഞാന്‍ അവളൊട് കഥപറഞ്ഞങ്ങനെ ഉമ്മറപ്പടിയിലിരുന്നു. ചിലപ്പോള്‍ അമ്മയുടെ മടിയില്‍ തലവെച്ച് മഴയുടെ താരാട്ടും കേട്ട്, അമ്മയുടെ കഥകള്‍ കേട്ട്… പുറത്ത് മഴപെയ്യുമ്പോള്‍ അമ്മയുടെ മടിയില്‍ തലവെച്ച് കഥകള്‍ കേട്ട് മഴയെ നോക്കിയിരിക്കാന്‍ എന്ത് രസമാണെന്നോ? അപ്പോള്‍ ആ മഴ കഥ നമ്മുടെ മുന്നില്‍ അഭിനയിച്ചു കാണിക്കും. പിന്നെ രാത്രികളില്‍ ഈ മഴ ആരോടോ ദേഷ്യപ്പെടും വലിയ ഉച്ചത്തില്‍. അപ്പോള്‍ ഞാന്‍ എന്റമ്മയെ കെട്ടിപ്പിടിച്ച് ഉറങ്ങും. പുലര്‍കാലത്ത് അവള്‍ ചാറിപ്പെയ്യുന്നുണ്ടാവും. തലേന്ന് പേടിപ്പിച്ചതിന്റെ പരിഭവം ഞാന്‍ അവളോട് പറയും. സഹനത്തിന്റെ നെല്ലിപ്പലക കാണുമ്പോള്‍ ചിലപ്പോള്‍ അമ്മ എന്നെ അടിക്കും.. പക്ഷേ മഴ എന്നെ സമാധാനിപ്പിക്കും.സ്കൂള്‍ വിട്ട് മഴ നനഞ്ഞ് കേറിവരുമ്പോള്‍ മരുന്നുപൊടി തലയി തൂത്ത് തരുമായിരുന്നു അമ്മ. അങ്ങനെ മഴയും അമ്മയും… മറക്കാന്‍ പറ്റുമോ?
ഞാന്‍ ഏറ്റവും വേദനിച്ച മൂഹൂര്‍ത്തങ്ങള്‍ക്കും മഴ സാക്ഷിയാണ്…..
ആടിത്തിമര്‍ത്ത് മറിഞ്ഞ് ചിരിച്ച് കളിച്ച് ഒരവധിക്കാലം എല്ലാവരേയും പോലെ ഞാനും…….അങ്ങനെ ഒരവധിക്കാലം തീരാന്‍ പോകുന്നു. ഇടവപ്പാതി അങ്ങനെ ഉറഞ്ഞ് തുള്ളി വരണുണ്ട്. അമ്മക്ക് അസുഖവും. വല്യമ്മയുടെ മകളുടെ കല്യാണമടുത്തു. ഇനി മൂന്നു ദിനം കൂടി. ഒരു തണുത്ത സന്ധ്യ. ആ തണുപ്പിനെ അതി ജീവിക്കാന്‍ അമ്മക്കാവുമായിരുന്നില്ല. മൗത്ത് കാന്‍സര്‍ അവരെ അത്രത്തോളം നോവിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു. അങ്ങനെ ഒരു പിടച്ചില്‍ മനസ്സും അമ്മയുടെ ശരീരവും, ഒപ്പം തകര്‍ത്ത മഴയും. ഇനി മഴയത്ത് എനിക്കു കിടക്കാന്‍ അമ്മയുടെ മടിത്തട്ടില്ല.. അവള്‍ക്ക് താളം പിടിക്കാന്‍ അമ്മയുടെ താരാട്ടും….
വല്യമ്മയുടെ മകള്‍ക്ക് വളരെ അലോചനകള്‍ക്ക് ശേഷം ഒത്തു വന്ന വിവാഹം. അത് മുടങ്ങിക്കൂടത്രേ!! അന്നു രാത്രിതന്നെ എല്ലാം…. കോരിച്ചൊരിയുന്ന മഴയത്ത് ഓലകള്‍ മേഞ്ഞൊരു ശവകുടീരം. അന്ത്യകര്‍മ്മങ്ങള്‍ക്ക് എന്നെ കുളിപ്പിച്ചതും മഴയായിരുന്നു. ഈ മഴ നനഞ്ഞാന്‍ പൊടി തൂത്തുതരാന്‍ എനിക്കാരുമില്ല. ആരും…!! ഈ മഴയത്ത് ഒരു നനഞ്ഞ ആത്മാവ് എന്നെ കാണുന്നുണ്ടായിരിക്കാം.. ചാണകവരളിയില്‍ ആ ശരീരം നീറിനീറി ഭസ്മമായി… അതുവരെ ആ മഴയില്‍ ഞാന്‍ ആ കുടീരത്തിന്നു കാവലിരുന്നു…. എന്റെ ദേഹത്ത് മഴത്തുള്ളികള്‍ തലോടി..എന്റെ കണ്ണീരിനെ അവര്‍ നേര്‍പ്പിച്ചു….ആ പെരുമഴയിലും വിയര്‍ത്തൊലിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ മനസ്സിനെ ഒരു കാറ്റായി..അവള്‍…ആ മഴ…ഈ മഴ അത് അമ്മയാണ്.. ഇനിയുള്ള ഓരോമഴകളും അത് അമ്മതന്നെ….
ഒരോ മഴക്കും ഞാന്‍ എന്റെമ്മയെ കാണാന്‍ ഉമ്മറപ്പടിയില്‍ ഇരിക്കാറുണ്ട്… ഇടക്കിടെ മുറ്റത്തിറങ്ങി ആ മഴയില്‍ കുതിരാറുമുണ്ട്…

Every morning when a person gets up and grabs some coffee, the reason why he or she picks up the newspaper is not to read about someone who till date has had no ambition and is having problems with her fiancee(who is another loser dude).
Even if you want to put us through the torture of getting to know all the gory and boring details of their marriage/breakup/affairs, why not just put it in the gossip section on the last page of the newspaper?

Because as far as I’m concerned, I don’t really give a care about a guy who has no guts to admit that he’s married.
Ever wondered why Sania Mirza never made it to the top 5 in the past 7 years and yet Saina Nehwal was able to do so in a jiffy? Yet, Nehwal is younger and less privileged.(Hypocracy in capital letters)
It’s all about having substance.
It’s all about the dedication.
Mirza never looked like she had it in her, and she had all characteristics of someone who’d give it all away in a minute on encountering a good-looking guy.
I mean does she have any brains? Didn’t she hear Shoaib saying that he felt “duped” on seeing this other woman of his. Is she noting the shallowness of his thoughts? A guy who purely is more concerned about a woman’s public status..a guy who married her on phone. On phone. On phone?!!?!?
Give. Me. A. Break.
Is this dude a juvenile? Didn’t he have the basic sense to meet this chick before he married her? How dumb is he?
Frankly speaking, his nationality on his passport is the least of my concerns here. I don’t care whether he’s a Pakistani, Iraqi or even an Eskimo for that matter. It’s all about having sense and the human streak in you.
So basically, if Mirza plans to marry him, it’s her call. If she chooses him, then she deserves him. As sad as it may seem to be.
As for me, I was thoroughly happy in the morning to read that they’ve settled the matter. I’m in no mood to read anything further on this subject.It’s a circus, this world. We’re all the spectators, and they’re the clowns. And as for the Other Woman? Well, sometimes, spectators get excited and want to do what the clowns are doing. But if she expects to have a normal life after all this drama? Well, then she’s expecting a lot.
And no, I don’t sympathise with her and nor do I feel she did a thing of bravery. Coz at the end of the day, whichever story is true, hers or his, she had it coming. For choosing a jerk with a playboy reputation, or for lying to him, she just had it coming.
Anyways, there’s this really hillarious FanPage on Facebook I was just checking out…It goes something like this; “Thank You Pakistan for taking Sania Mirza, now please take Rakhi Sawant too!”
LAWL. Now, someone has got a sense of humor there!
and their topic of Discussion was “what gift should be given to Sania and Shoaib on their marriage?” And one person had written, “Give them Bal Thackeray” Another said,” Give them Sunny Deol to fix a handpump at their new house”
